Billing & fees
The price on the order book is the price you pay. Sellers keep 95%.
Buyers
- Each call costs the serving offer's listed input and output prices × the tokens used.
- Every response reports
cost_micro,list_cost_micro(what the same tokens cost at the model's public list price) andsavings_micro. - Failed calls (
upstream_failed) are not charged. - Cache hits are reported as such; batches and price-lock holdings draw from the same balance.
Strict spending caps
Before contacting an endpoint, the gateway atomically reserves the maximum charge against your balance and key budgets. Active requests count toward both daily and monthly limits, including across UTC resets. Price-lock purchases cannot spend reserved funds. The unused amount is released when the request settles or fails.
Chat requests default to a 4,096-token output limit when you omit one. A lower output limit reduces the reservation. Fallback prices and hedge prompts are included; long stream rescues must authorize their larger prompt before continuing. Limits cannot be reduced below completed and reserved spending. Billing shows available and reserved credit separately.
Media uses explicit per-request, per-image, or per-character quotes. See the inference protocols guide for limits and cost caps.
Funding
Top up by card from Billing (POST /api/billing/checkout with amount_usd). If card payments aren't enabled on this deployment, the endpoint returns 503 not_configured and the dashboard says so.
Sellers
- A flat 5% exchange fee (
fee_bps: 500) on what buyers pay for your requests. - Chat Proof-of-Model verification traffic is paid by the exchange. Media onboarding runs a provider-funded endpoint probe.
- Earnings accrue per completed request. Request payouts from $5.
The ledger
Every balance movement is a ledger entry:
topup | charge | grant | payout | payout_reversal |
lock_purchase | lock_refund | verification_creditSeller earnings and the exchange fee are recorded on each request, not in the ledger. The Earnings page and GET /api/earnings show accrued, pending and paid amounts.
Units
All amounts are integer microdollars (1 USD = 1,000,000), signed: credits positive, debits negative.
